Meet our Language Instructors
Chinese - Tony Fairbank
holds a Ph.D. in Chinese History from the University of
Washington
and specializes in the study and translation of early Chinese historical
texts. He works as a translator and teacher of Chinese language and

French - Karen Tenney has been teaching French for ten years in Kitsap County,

Greek - Traveler Language Program Director Marina Giameos (photo below) relocated to Bainbridge Island last after living on the Greek Island of Patmos for the past 7 years. She has worked as a bilingual tour guide and language instructor on Patmos where she taught Modern Greek to individuals and small groups. Click here for a full bio. Italian - Traveler Language Program Director Marina
Giameos
studied Italian at the University
of Washington and the Italian Institute
of Athens, Greece. After graduating from
the UW in 2000, she taught English as a Second Language in
private schools in France, Italy, and Greece. She also worked as an
Italian tour guide in the Greek Islands for several years and spent a few summers
crewing on a sailboat in the Aegean Sea.
Marina has been teaching Italian to individuals
and small groups in the Pacific Northwest since her return from Greece last summer.

Spanish - Julieta Vitullo is a native of Argentina
and has a PhD in Latin American
Literature. She has taught
Spanish for 12 years at universities on the East Coast and the Northwest. She
has recently relocated to the Kitsap area, where she’s teaching individual and
group classes. Borrowing from authentic materials such as comics and songs,
Julieta’s classes will help you acquire the language while you get familiar
with the cultures of the Spanish-speaking world and get ready for your next
