Marina Giameos, Language Program Director
Marina Giameos has just relocated to Bainbridge Island after living on the Greek Island of Patmos for the past 7 years. A former sales associate at our old location, she rejoined Team Traveler in September 2011. In addition to working in our store, Marina also directs The Traveler Language Program and currently teaches our Italian for Travelers and Greek for Travelers classes.
A native Bainbridge Islander, Marina bega
n traveling at a young age to the Greek Islands to visit her extended family. She studied Italian at the University of Washington and the Italian Institute of Athens, Greece. After graduating from the UW in 2000, she taught English as a Second Language in private schools in France, Italy, and Greece. She also worked as an Italian tour guide in the Greek Islands for several years and spent a few summers crewing on a sailboat in the Aegean Sea.
Marina has been teaching Italian to individuals and small groups the Pacific Northwest since her return from Greece last summer.
Marina also studied Modern Greek at the Hellenic American Union of Athens, Greece. She has worked as a bilingual tour guide and language instructor on the Greek island of Patmos where she taught Modern Greek to individuals and small groups.
