Running the Iditarod with Laura Daugereau
Laura Daugereau, a sled dog trainer and race driver from Port Gamble, is the first woman to represent Washington State in the history of the famed Iditerod in Alaska. She takes great pride in giving the best care and love to each of the dogs she works with, and has received numerous "Best Kept Team" awards over her 15-year career. This unique program will inform and inspire!

Morocco: Home of the Berbers with Emily Wilson
Explore the Kingdom of Morocco: walled cities, Kasbahs, rugged peaks, vast deserts and wild coasts. Known as the Lords of the Atlas, the Berber's homes are tucked deep within these lofty mountains, their small communities hidden from common tourist view. Via narrative PowerPoint presentation, visit Morocco's Imperial cities: Rabat, Fez, Meknes and Marrakech. Learn about culture, community and lifestyles of Moroccans. Interesting for both armchair travelers and ardent adventurers. Wilson, a tour leader in North Africa, will provide tips and useful pointers about travel in Morocco. Croatia Today - Ties to the Past with Barbara Winther
Croatia's history is one of turmoil: ruled by other nations, fighting wars, experiencing droughts, and suffering economic downturns. Croatia did not gain independence until 1992. Island author Barbara Winther views the history of Croatia with an eye to connecting it to the immigrant history of Bainbridge, and has made two trips there to find out what the country is like today.
